ARCO Beverage Group partnered with Beverage South to complete a large-scale expansion and renovation of its West Columbia distribution facility, enhancing operations and strengthening the company’s service reach across South Carolina.
The project delivered significant enhancements to warehouse, cooler, and office space while improving logistics and creating better amenities for employees. Construction was carefully phased, allowing the facility to remain fully operational throughout.
The project added 69,604 SF of new and renovated space. Key improvements included a 43,751 SF warehouse expansion, an 8,299 SF dunnage canopy, and a 4,065 SF draught cooler expansion to increase storage and handling capacity.
Inside, the former POS area was transformed into a 3,161 SF employee lounge, and 2,670 SF of office space was fully renovated. The facility also gained 10 new dock positions, supported by structural reinforcement, foundation underpinning, and durable construction using steel roof framing and insulated concrete tilt-up panels.
Built for Efficiency
ARCO Beverage Group phased construction to ensure Beverage South’s operations continued without interruption. Key improvements included:
- Expanded warehouse and cooler capacity
- Renovated office areas for a modernized workspace
- Ten new dock positions to streamline loading and unloading
These upgrades not only improved efficiency during daily operations but also positioned Beverage South for long-term growth and continued service to its partners across South Carolina.
