ARCO Beverage Group Completes New Facility for RMC Distributing


ARCO Beverage Group is proud to have recently completed construction on a new beer distributorship for RMC Distributing! When RMC began contemplating a more efficient operation, they first envisioned the consolidation of their two facilities in Southeastern Colorado to one new building. After 12 months of due diligence and consultation, ARCO helped RMC settle on a more cost-effective project in the ideal location. Together, ARCO and RMC determined the best solution would be to purchase and renovate an existing 134,000 square foot warehouse/office and add 32,630 square feet of additional corporate office, back-in loading and dunnage canopy space. The newly finished warehouse includes a large draught cooler, POS area, and repack area. The office finishes feature executive space on the second floor, a 4,100 square foot hospitality room with focal bar & outdoor patio with fire pit, and a new fitness room for RMC associates. The exposed structure, polished concrete, grand staircase and glass sectional door have resulted in a statement making space for the company to thrive and grow. Owner, Mike Pfalmer, remarked that the difference maker in partnering with ARCO was the tremendous benefit of working with a single point of contact throughout the process.

ARCO Beverage Group to construct new facility for Heart of America Beverage

ARCO Beverage Group received a contract to complete a new beverage distribution facility and office for Springfield based, Heart of America Beverage. The new facility will be built in Republic, Missouri to replace their current location. Heart of America’s 1979 Springfield facility had been expanded over the years to a total of 65,000 square feet. The new distributorship will be more than double the size to support Heart of America’s growing business that sells a diverse portfolio of quality brands in four states.

New Project Announcement – American Icon Brewery

ARCO Beverage Group Chosen as the Contractor for American Icon Brewery!


Congratulations to the sales and project management team of Cameron Pinzke, Mark Turney, and Andrew Phillion.  ARCO Beverage Group has been awarded a contract for the renovation work at American Icon Brewery.  The 12,420 SF historic diesel power plant will be transformed into a craft brewery and will include a 6,115 SF 2-Story tasting room, 6,000 SF outdoor patio, and 2,650 SF Fermenting/Brite area.  Other features include a 600 SF dry storage component and a 2,935 SF kitchen/support area.  Located in downtown Vero Beach, Florida the brewery will be the first for owner, Integra Corporations.

ARCO Beverage Group is proud to announce that Vice President, Chris Wilson, has become a Principal and Shareholder in the company.

Chris Wilson joined ARCO in 2005 as a Project Manager. He was promoted to Director of Business Development in 2013 and Vice President in 2016. Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University.

Our current project for Hoffman Beverage in Chesapeake, VA is moving right along. Just this past week we completed the installation of 59 tilt panels for the warehouse portion of the project, and yesterday we started on the steel erection for the warehouse. The layout for the office addition also began this past week so the team is making great progress. We are excited to see the continued unfolding of this project here in the next few months!

Family owned distribution business, Reed Beverage, broke ground last Friday, February 19th on their new beverage distribution facility and office. Located in Amarillo, Texas, this nearly 60,000 SF building will be comprised of many great amenities including a 3,694 SF hospitality room with a full commercial kitchen (equipped to hold 238 people). Other features include a 31,000+ SF controlled temperature warehouse, 3,054 SF liquor/wine cooler, 3,632 draught cooler, and a new corporate office.

Friday’s well-attended groundbreaking ceremony represented an important day for Reed Beverage. With a couple hundred people in attendance, this kick off was a way to celebrate the commencement of the construction process. Guests reflected back on the company’s rich history while also looking forward to the future, the growth that lies ahead. All those with a stake in the company were also in attendance, from owners and investors, employees and family members, to the Mayor and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce. The event offered food, live music, and of course, beverages.

Reed Beverage is excited for the opportunities that will come from this new facility, and ARCO is honored to be a part of the process.

Some of those partnering with ARCO Beverage Group on the project are GMA Architects, J Shehan Engineers, IC Design Services, Custom Design Group, Amarillo Testing & Engineering, and Furman Land Surveyors.

Great Bay Distributors Completes St. Petersburg Distributorship


ARCO Beverage Group recently completed construction of a 267,787 square foot beverage distribution facility and office for Great Bay Distributors. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the building is home to a 1.5 Megawatt Solar System, the largest privately owned rooftop solar system in the state. This $2.6 million system will reduce the company’s electric costs by as much as 40%, and is predicted to cut carbon dioxide emissions by over 43,000 tons. As the new headquarters, the distributorship also comes equipped with an outstanding hospitality room, sign shop, maintenance building, truck wash area, and fuel island.

When ARCO began conceptual design, the owners had yet to decide on the look of the front entry for their new building. After a visit to the ARCO headquarters, they chose to emulate the two-story glass front façade. This insulated tilt-up concrete structure also includes a 143,000 square foot controlled environment warehouse with a 30’ clear cross dock area.

The final product is an amazing representation of Great Bay’s rich history and bright future. ARCO is honored to have been a part of the process – from concept to completion.

Asheville, NC, May 12, 2015 – Reaching another key milestone in bringing their east coast brewery online, New Belgium Brewing’s Asheville Distribution Center construction is complete. The company will begin shipping beer from the Asheville Distribution Center by the end of 2015. The distribution center will serve the eastern United States and will support the company’s national expansion.

Members of New Belgium’s East Coast team were excited to christen their newly constructed, energy efficient distribution center in Asheville, NC. The impressive facility totals 141,000 square feet – enough to hold 12 million of bottles and cans of their locally brewed beer.

“The right partners and the right place; we’re thrilled to be here in Enka-Candler,” said Mark Fischer, New Belgium Senior Plant Engineer. “Our plan is to ship product by the end of 2015 and until then, we’ll be preparing the space for use, refining shipping and receiving practices, and storing raw materials to support the brewery start up later this year.” Built in partnership with ARCO National Construction – Beverage Group and Finkle Williams Architecture, the 141,000 SF warehouse includes 88,000 SF of refrigerated space, enough to hold 12,000,000 bottles and cans, 50,000 full kegs of beer and 9,000 SF of outside covered storage area, enough to hold 45,000 empty kegs. There’s 44,000 SF of storage for 300 tons of cardboard and raw materials. Forty of New Belgium’s 140 projected Asheville coworkers will be working at the distribution center.

“Our team is quickly expanding and now includes our distribution center manager,” said Philip Pollick, Asheville Packaging Manager. “Come late summer, we’ll be bringing on more coworkers, making this all come alive.” The New Belgium distribution center is primarily a cold storage warehouse facility, with warehousing and office space. While refrigerated warehouses are not typically known for their environmental sustainability, keeping in step with the company’s commitment to sustainability, New Belgium is pursuing LEED certification. The building is designed to use 25% less energy than a traditional building and the LED lighting uses 20% less energy than conventional lighting system. In the building process, 84% percent of materials were manufactured within 500 miles, while 82% of onsite construction waste was diverted from landfills.

The distribution center comes online prior to the more complex brewery, packaging hall and tasting room being built along the French Broad River, just east of the distribution center, where they will eventually brew 500,000 barrels annually.
